What's the job?

Consistent with CertainTeed Gypsum's Vision, Mission, Values and Objectives, this position provides leadership to effectively lead and plan all maintenance and site activities.

This position manages the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), plant vibration program and coordinates the planning of weekly work orders, ensuring compliance with state and federal environmental standards.

This position will review downtime trends and events and adjust PMs and timing to reduce plant down time. They will work closely with storeroom personnel on obsolete parts, capital spares and delivery issues.

This position will also provide the leadership and direction in the installation, maintenance, repair and replacement of the physical properties including plant equipment and machinery, in a manner which will assure operation efficiency at minimum costs following World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles and processes.

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

Qualifications

  • High-School or GED required. Bachelor's degree is preferred in Engineering or related discipline.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of professional experience and knowledge in maintenance disciplines, such as automated control systems, safety qualifications, and professional industrial maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Requires adaptability, methodical/analytical problem solving skills, and employee leadership skills with the ability to effectively apply these skills in a manufacturing facility.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills to work effectively in corporate, manufacturing and team environments.
  • Familiarity with Lean / WCM principles and practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
