The Production Manager in a gypsum board plant oversees the efficient operation of production processes, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance while managing staff and resources to meet production targets and optimize performance while
operating within the framework of CertainTeed Gypsum's Vision, Mission, values and objectives.

Job Requirements
· Supervise and lead production teams.
· Mentor, coach, and support Shift Leaders and technicians.
· Track KPIs and implement strategies to meet production targets.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation.
· Address production-related issues promptly.
· Investigate root causes of production problems and implement corrective actions.
· Continuously evaluate and improve production performance.
· Coordinate production to meet customer demands.
· Manage labor costs and ensure raw material usage aligns with BOMs.
· Coordinate with other departments for smooth production flow.
· Allocate production resources efficiently.
· Work with maintenance to maximize reliability.
· Identify and implement process improvements.
· Lead efforts to improve SOPs, training documentation, and certifications.
· Monitor and enforce quality control standards.
· Ensure compliance with financial Internal Control guidelines.
· Work cross-functionally with the plant management team.
· Maintain effective relationship with the Union Leadership
What do you bring?
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Education or similar discipline or equivalent work experience.
· Eight (8) to ten (10) years manufacturing, coaching, teaching or military experience.
· Six (6) to eight (8) years applied professional experience working in production in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
· Three (3) to four (4) years direct or indirect supervisory experience.
· More than three years' experience with LEAN Manufacturing Techniques.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
