Saint-Gobain North America today announced that CertainTeed Roofing’s Carmen Bodden (Vice President & General Manager) and Rochelle Samuel (Sustainability Manager) have both been named to INvolve Heroes Women Role Model Lists for 2023. This honor recognizes Carmen and Rochelle’s commitment to a more diverse and equitable workplace and community.

Saint-Gobain North America, through its building products subsidiary CertainTeed Siding, today announced a $28 million expansion project at its facility in Williamsport, Maryland. This project, along with others made by CertainTeed at the site, will allow the company to improve production and shipping capacity and significantly increase warehouse space in order to increase the availability of their complete siding portfolio in the Mid-Atlantic Region, aligning with customer needs.

Saint-Gobain has signed a 15-year renewable electricity supply agreement (Power Purchase Agreement or PPA) with TotalEnergies for the purchase of solar power for its 125 industrial sites in North America (United States and Canada).

Saint-Gobain has completed the acquisition, announced on June 12, 2023, of Building Products of Canada Corp. (Building Products of Canada), a leading manufacturer of residential roofing shingles and wood fiber insulation panels in Canada.

Saint-Gobain North America, through its high-performance ceramics business Saint-Gobain NorPro, has begun a recycling program at its Ceramics plant in Bryan, Texas. Through this program, scrap finished goods are recycled and used in production at other plants throughout Saint-Gobain Ceramics, including its facility in Huntsville, Alabama

Saint-Gobain has today completed the sale of its US CertainTeed Fence, Railing and Decking Business (FRD), to Oldcastle APG, a CRH Company.

2023 outlook upgraded

• Record margin of 11.3% and record operating income of €2,813m (approximately $3.11 billion) despite a difficult environment
• Significant operating income growth in North America, Asia and emerging countries, which represent over 60% of the Group’s earnings
• Strong increase in free cash flow, up 30% at €2,192m (approximately $2.43 billion)
• Double-digit operating margin expected in full-year 2023 for the third consecutive year, demonstrating the Group’s resilience
