The Operations Manager oversees all production and maintenance functions to ensure efficient and profitable manufacturing operations. Direct responsibilities include managing both the operations process, embracing design, planning, control, performance improvement, and operations strategy. Will prepare and control departmental budgets, provide leadership in safety, 5S, housekeeping, quality and improving cost reduction. Contributes to the accuracy and effectiveness of the planning and goal setting process by developing, recommending, implementing and achieving operational plans, goals, budgets, and capital requirements. This position will also help develop floor supervision, promote positive labor relations and provide communication feedback to all levels of the organization. The position will report to and work closely with the Plant Manager in strategic and capital expenditures planning.

Directs the manufacturing activities of all products including machines, spare parts, buildings & grounds and repair activities to meet customer schedule commitments within quality and cost objectives. Measurement of success includes the measurement of employee safety, world-class quality, meantime between failure reliability, direct labor productivity, shipment on-time performance, direct labor productivity, and leading edge product efficiencies.

  • Achieve organizational goals, both Pillar and “Must-Win-Battles” through efficient and strategic use of resources and capacities.
  • Responsible for the efficiency of the entire operation to include the production lines, maintenance and facilities.
  • Maintains continuous dialogue and communication with the Plant Manager as needed to keep him apprised of the status of safety, quality, production, schedules, loads, problems and opportunities available to maximize efficient operations and to enhance the overall operations of the company manufacturing operations.
  • Maintains open, candid and continuous communications with personnel from all functions to ensure that essential information is disseminated to insure accomplishment of critical business objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage, direct, plan and coordinate (through Manufacturing Superintendents and Supervisors) all production and maintenance activities in order to meet plant objectives, annual Profit Plan and monthly forecast.
  • Determine effect of production load changes on plant operations. Take action(s) to adjust capacities (labor and/or equipment) to meet new production requirements.
  • Review plant-operating practices ensuring that safety, quality and production standards are maintained/enhanced.
  • Assure appropriate working climate by maintaining proper discipline, morale and employee relations.
  • Participate in planning and/or decision making in matters concerning financial and operational problems, inventory control, plant policy, Facility/Maintenance issues and staffing.
  • Support the identification, development, and drive implementation of WCM, new manufacturing methods, equipment, material planning, quality improvement, and Lean and Six Sigma methods.
  • Ensure adherence to all environmental, health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Five or more years manufacturing experience in a management capacity.
  • Strong working knowledge of product structure, manufacturing processes as well as quality standards and modern manufacturing technologies and techniques, TPM, (autonomous maintenance, professional maintenance and early equipment management), quality and process control including Statistical Process Control (SPC), 5S, standardized work and other Lean principles.
  • Proficiency in Six Sigma, TPM and Lean Manufacturing concepts - WCM.

The position will be involved with maintaining cleanroom environmental control, plant safety, and environmental initiatives. Arrive to work as scheduled and accurately perform and document services to established standards and procedures, including
cleanroom gowning and Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Ensure the Production facility is maintained at defined standards. Perform and document routine and non-routine inspection and cleaning tasks per standards and procedures and related cleanroom maintenance activities.

Efficiently prepare supplies and cleaning, disinfectant, and rinse solutions daily for production jobs, while effectively communicating with department leads to meet required facility cleaning and disinfection frequencies. Effectively maintain inventory control of required environmental cleaning components and supplies. Promote a safe working environment that complies with proper use of PPE, proper disposal of waste solutions, report incidents and participate in functional department safety meetings. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

  • At least one year of custodial, janitorial, or cleanings service experience; preferred.

The Extrusion Operator will safely operate extrusion machines, feeding raw material into machine to create medical-grade tubing and profiles, per detailed drawings, attribute specifications, and routing notes. Must perform dimensional inspections to ensure product is extruded in accordance with the provided specifications using micrometers, calipers, tape measure, pi tape, optical comparator, and other measuring tools. The Operator must also record in-process inspections and verifications using Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Operator is responsible for machine setup and tear-down between jobs. Must be mechanically inclined and proficient with computers.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Safely produce silicone extruded products and practice trouble shooting processes with limited supervision.
  • Read and interpret written work processes, manufacturing aides, models, and basic prints.
  • Proficient in the use of general computer programs and current industrial technology including QAD, MQ1, and FACTIVITY.
  • Perform designated job functions adhering to standards as defined by SOP’s, MOP’s, ISO standards, & GMP.
  • Proficient in the safe use of power and hand tools for defined processes.

  • Able to perform general math equations, knowledge of metric and standard systems, complete accurate documentation, multi-task, and stand for multiple hours.

Technical Services Representative II – Technical Lead

Provide Technical support to both internal and external customers. Establishing themselves as a Technical Specialist for steep slope roofing products (65 %) 

Provide technical and warranty product assistance/letters to callers, TM’s and Technical Services personnel. Production Supervisor

¿POR QUÉ LE NECESITAMOS?

The shift supervisor is responsible for supporting a safe working environment in area of responsibility at all times including correcting or reporting unsafe acts or conditions through appropriate channels of resolution. The supervisor is the primary communicator between production line personnel and upper management. The shift supervisor must supervise and maintain operations of production lines including determining shift workstations, managing production schedule changes, reducing panel weights, increasing Xtore, DDS, and NDC compliance, increasing regrind reuse, managing conflicting priorities, and organizing maintenance repairs to minimize downtime. Additionally, administrative tasks such as payroll and end of shift reports must be completed each day. Occasionally, shift supervisors will be tasked with participating on or running a WCM team.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead, facilitate and direct line personnel in the manufacture, packaging, and material handling of siding and accessory products.
  • Promote and facilitate team-based initiative to continuously improve safety, product quality, production processes and customer services performance.
  • Observe extrusion personnel for effectiveness, safety performance, efficiency, performance and compliance to policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Promote an atmosphere of continuous improvement toward safety, quality, customer service and productivity.
  • Monitor quality performance to ensure conformance with VSI and ISO standards
  • Train and motivate personnel to comply with plant policies regarding safety, conduct and product quality.

BENEFITS IN JOINING US

Certain locations require pay information to be provided in job postings. Saint-Gobain Aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ well-being and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency and what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position, which is $70,000 to $108,000 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 9% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $76,300 to $117,700. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

This position supports group/plant objectives and is accountable for determining and implementing cost effective and time efficient procedures to move inbound materials and outbound finished products through the production cycle to meet customer demands. Execute cycle counting as required by internal functions including raw materials, work in progress, and finished goods. Maintain records and reports for all counting documents. Ensure all finished goods movements are accurately accounted for daily. Ensure up-to-date training documents are maintained for the continuous operation of all SAP functions dealing with the proper inventory. Ensure that customer expectations are met or exceeded through proficient distribution operations that maximize workflow efficiency between warehouse, customer service, and scheduling to meet/exceed all shipping objectives on a competitive cost basis.  Select, deploy, coach, train, develop and support supervisory and individual contributors in all areas of responsibility to maximize performances and build the best high-performance organization possible.  Regular and ongoing collaboration with plant staff to fine-tune performances to create policies and practices (consistent with group/company objectives) that satisfy/exceed quality, service, and cost objectives. Participate with plant management to define culture, promote labor relations, and improve communication systems and policies that support the overall growth and direction of the plant. Always support a safe working environment in the areas of responsibility. Correct or report unsafe acts or condition through appropriate channels of resolution. Perform safety audits, accident investigations, complete required paperwork and perform necessary follow-up as required. Collaborate/participate with group management to develop and support company initiatives that enhance CertainTeed growth and profitability.

Reporting to our Global Value Development Manager, the Digital Customer Support Leader will play a critical role in supporting the inside sales team to move to a more digital business model, with accelerated processes to cope and anticipate current and future business growth. The mission will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks:

  • In close collaboration with operations, the incumbent will have to create and implement a process in line with objectives defined by the NPI (Prototyping) project teams in terms of lead time and product offering.
  • The process will cover the full value chain from proposal to product delivery.
  • It will include a complete follow up process and reporting tools including KPI’s and monthly indicators.
  • Work with the global Capture support team to develop new coherent approach of product costing.
  • Lead the development of new digital tools that will be at disposal of capture support team to build new product proposals and other key customer service functions.
  • Organize the follow up and maintenance of those tools, to make sure they are always in line with latest change of economic conditions or process modifications.
  • Participate and support the new pricing tool team project and support the development of digital tools.
  • Monitor the implementation and maintenance of processes linked to new market standard (Nuclear, semiconductor, Aviation, Space).
  • In some specific cases: support and coordinate the development of new and large customers programs in production.

This position is reporting to the Global Value Development Manager and will work among our global and international customer service team Supporting various technical B to B end markets as Energy, Space, Aviation and industrial markets.

¿CUALES SON LOS REQUISITOS?

  • Bachelor’s degree - Technical/Engineering degree or related discipline - Required. Masters Degree is Preferred.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Project Management, Development Engineering and/or Manufacturing Engineering function in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • 5+ years’ experience demonstrated track record identifying and implementing projects is required.
  • 2+ years experience in Aerospace related Manufacturing environment is preferred.

Impact: Saint-Gobain is seeking a skilled team player to join our dynamic Maintenance group. The Instrumentation & Controls Technician is primarily responsible for the maintenance and repair of the production equipment to ensure minimal production down-time and a safe work environment. Production equipment includes; material handling, bulk chemical systems, batch mixing, web coaters, extruding, converting, and packaging equipment.

The Instrumentation & Controls Technician is also responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of the facilities equipment such as: HVAC, boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps, motors, pollution control equipment, life safety, electrical power distribution, network, hoists, docks and automated doors.

3rd Shift: 10:30pm - 7am, Sunday - Thursday

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00/hr plus $1.00 shift premium

Essential Duties:

  • Candidate should be able to install, setup and troubleshoot temperature, speed, weight, pressure, flow and thickness sensing instrumentation.
  • Able to monitor and troubleshoot controls using programmable logic controllers.
  • Set up and tune loop controllers and PID loops.
  • Maintenance and repair of electrical industrial control systems.
  • The position requires scheduled shift work, weekend work, and emergency call-ins during off shifts to support production.
  • The Technician will report into the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Performs electrical and instrumentation & controls preventative maintenance, calibrations, and inspections to reduce equipment downtime.

Required:

  • High School diploma or GED, with a minimum of 2 years industrial maintenance experience

OR

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in industrial, electrical, electronics or instrumentation technologies from two-year college or technical school

  • Experience with analog temperature, pressure, flow, speed and weight measurement.
  • Experience with discrete sensors.
  • Experience with process loop calibration and equipment.

  • Experience with motor controls and VFDs.

Impact:

Mixer Operator- Produces batches of materials that are used in the manufacture of products including adhesives, urethane and PVC foams. Batch sizes may run up to 7,000 pounds. The Mixer follows SOPs, production schedules and standard formulas to meet internal and external customers' needs. Accuracy in the mixing operation is critical to quality, cost-effective production of materials use in further manufacturing processes. The Mixer works independently and as a member of a team.

Provides support to programs in Granville, NY within the defined continuous improvement framework, in a manner consistent with Saint-Gobain EHS Policies and Principles of Conduct and Action.

Employees are required to work overtime as scheduled. This includes before/after shift or weekend shift.

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday- 3:30 pm - Midnight

Pay: $22.28/hr to start plus $1.00 shift differential ($.75 increase in hourly rate after 6 months)

Each year, based on individual/business performance, employees have the potential to receive annual bonus in March and merit increase in April.

The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate, Bonus and Shift Differential, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks) for this position, is $53,200.

Job Responsibilities

Comply with all Plant Safety Rules and Government Regulations and ensure a safe healthy work environment. Be a model for safety. Report all safety concerns to the immediate supervisor.

Will operate different types of packing equipment and know all associated safety procedures of each piece of equipment. Keep the working area in a clean, neat, tidy condition on a continual basis.

Follow all instructions for production goals and efficiency. Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the manager.

Essential functions:

Standing, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, reaching; and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
