The Applications Engineer is responsible for the management of single-customer development projects as well as providing technical support to customers and commercial functions.

Work with customers to understand performance requirements and envision solutions as well as the industrialization of solutions with the Operations team. Coordinate work with R&D and external labs to develop new materials and obtain testing data to support the identification of ideal materials for the customer's needs. Complete other related projects as assigned.

Work with AE technicians in safe and efficient operation of development activities. Plan and maintain extrusion trials for development projects to be completed by the AE technician. Monitor the development production process to ensure lab requests are fulfilled correctly and accordingly to planned schedule.

Key Accountabilities:

Lead development programs. Lead co-development projects to develop material specifications and manufacturing processes, complete prototypes, and conduct material property testing based on customer requirements. Provide technical link between the customer and the manufacturing site for new products ensuring effective communication of customer needs.

Lead and conduct product development projects using combinations of existing raw materials to meet the demands of a customer application.

Ensure all development projects meets cost targets, project timelines and customer expectations for quality and on-time delivery.

Develop and implement technical services assisting our customers, sales personnel, customer service personnel, and marketing personnel in the process of screening existing products against specified application requirements. This includes identifying performance deficiencies in current product line relative to identified application requirements using existing performance data as well as defining needed testing.

Plan and maintain extrusion trials for development projects to be completed by the AE technician.

Experience/Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree - Material Science, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related field; Required.

Master's Degree - Material Science, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering or related field; Preferred.

Required Experience within:

3+ years of engineering experience within manufacturing; Required. Product Development; Preferred.

3+ years experience within Fluoropolymer extrusion; Preferred.

Experience within regulated industry (i.e. food & beverage, medical, pharmaceutical); Preferred.

Travel up to 25% - for customer visits and business meetings / trainings.

Relevant technical software for:  Drawing (i.e. Autocad), Statistical Analysis (i.e. Minitab), Extrusion Flow Simulation; Required.

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $81,500 to $126,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $89,650 to $139,150. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Sr. Accounting Financial Analyst - Manufacturing

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Senior Accounting/Financial Analyst position will provide support and lead the month-end close process to ensure alignment of the Performance Polymer Solutions/Life Sciences deadlines, prepare general ledger entries/reconciliations (as needed/required), and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet and income statement (quality of working capital, changes in fixed assets, etc.). Support the annual budgeting and reforecasting processes for standard cost development for the site to ensure transparency of costs and margins. Works with site leadership to ensure all plant accounting activities comply with the processes outlined in the ICRF, IFRS, GAAP, PPS/LS policies, and sound business practices.

The ideal candidate will be a driven self-starter, detail oriented, and have a high propensity for problem solving. This role requires a hands-on individual that can work independently to drive tasks to completion and be able to pivot as needed based on priorities. The Senior Financial Analyst will maintain integrity of systems and databases - identify and resolve issues that impact usability and system performance.

Promotes a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, reports incidents and participates in functional department safety meetings. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

Accounting & Reporting

  • Month-end close in QAD, DSS inputs, coordinate internal financial reports (monthly site report, operational analysis of efficiency, scrap, cost, variances).
  • Support Annual Budget Process and quarterly reforecasts.
  • Serve as financial support for QAD+ team as well as other shared resources.
  • Provide detailed analysis of actual vs. budget spend.
  • Support new product costing and review of current costs throughout the year.
  • Support establishment of inputs for annual standard cost roll.
  • Coordinate physical inventory and cycle count program supporting Supply Chain.

Production Technician - 3rd Shift

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

  • Join us at Saint-Gobain, Wayne, NJ. THIRD SHIFT schedule which is Monday to Saturday, 11:00 pm to 7:30 am.
  • Training will be conducted on the first shift for the first 3 months.
  • Pay range is $25.00 to $27.00 per hour plus $2/hr shift differential.

To support production performance and productivity by ensuring that machines are tuned at or above standards in Quality and Throughput, are efficiently and timely troubleshooting issues affecting downtime, speed or yield, reducing set up time and assisting with various projects and machinery related improvements such as new machinery installation and machinery upgrades. Be the liaison between Machine Services and Process Engineers.

  • Troubleshoot issues/equipment to restore operations or repair as necessary.
  • Work with supervisors/Production team in achieving goals for Schedule compliance and Production Efficiency including downtime data collection
  • Participate in training newly hired operators and work with existing operators getting cross trained in new skills.
  • Set up and operate Forming machines according to standard operating procedures and established volume expectations when required
  • Work on project-assigned basis, design new and modify existing equipment in order to improve process safety, product quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiencies
  • Communicate and cooperate with fellow employees to maintain quality, operation efficiency, and safety
  • Visually observe, troubleshoot and report non-conformance conditions (either product or process) to supervisor or manager as required.
  • Understand all environmental policies and significant environmental impact of job activities in accordance with the ISO 14001 standard.
  • Exhibit safety awareness and safe work practices
