MRO Storeroom Attendant/Receiving Clerk

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Manage the receiving, tracking, and distribution of all MRO goods and services. The MRO Storeroom Attendant/Receiving Clerk coordinates day-to-day MRO Storeroom transactions and helps to ensure the accuracy of the inventory data. This position works closely with production & maintenance management/supervision, production & maintenance technicians, and maintenance planning & scheduling. This position reports directly to the MRO Storeroom Supervisor.

NATURE & SCOPE OF POSITION

  • Work is primarily done in a parts storeroom setting.
  • Frequent interaction with other employees and outside vendors, both to provide service and ensure MRO Storeroom policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Frequent production environment exposure which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, fork lifts, and fluctuations in temperature.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Ensure all MRO parts are identified, numbered, received, issued, and inventoried in the CMMS system (SAP).
  • Ensure MRO parts inventory is organized on the parts shelves in a systematic manner.
  • Create and maintain parts information in SparesFinder inventory tracking system.
  • Maintain manual or computerized procurement records (items/services purchased, product quality, performance, etc.)
  • Help manage reconciliation of invoices and goods receipts.
  • Verify proof of delivery when discrepancies occur and work with vendors to correct receiving and date entry errors.
  • Create purchase requisitions as needed; communicate purchase order numbers to vendors when received and obtain estimated delivery dates.
  • Identify and manage issues regarding open/overdue purchase orders.
  • Review and process daily Stock Replenishment Orders; help to evaluate min/max levels to maximize inventory effectiveness.
  • Conduct routine inventory cycle counts to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to MRO parts management metrics and KPI’s.
  • Help to maintain all of the MRO Storeroom management processes.
  • Maintain an orderly workspace and a clean and safe work environment.
  • Deliver packages to appropriate departs using an industrial motorized cart.
  • Manage outbound shipping of MRO parts & materials.
  • Operate a forklift in a safe manner (pass written & hands-on driving test).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS: Office setting is temperature controlled. Manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled; dust, fumes, and high noise areas are present inside plant areas. Manufacturing processes involve granules, sand, fiberglass, asphalt coating, crushed rock, and polypropylene. Noise levels exceed 80 dB in some areas of the site. Moving equipment such as fork lifts, buggies, genie booms and industrial sweepers travel throughout the facility, sometimes in congested areas. PPE will be needed in designated areas.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES (SKILLS & ABILITIES)

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in parts stocking, inventory management, shipping, logistics, or related fields is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in industrial manufacturing (industrial maintenance experience is a plus), and customer service.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication.
  • Written and oral comprehension skills.
  • Ability to complete tasks with little to no direct supervision.
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a complex, fast-moving environment.
  • A high level of knowledge and understanding of computer systems and programs, especially proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and SAP is a plus.

Ability to safely operate a forklift, pallet truck, and crane hoist. Ability to use safe lifting techniques, and carry 50 lbs. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 7% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures. The total annual target cash range (Hourly Pay Rate plus Bonus, annualized (40 hrs/week * 52wks)) for this position, is $55,700.00 to $74,000.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Maintenance Supervisor

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the Maintenance team to maximize and optimize the reliability of designated equipment, process, and facility usage while ensuring employee safety and product quality. The incumbent directly supervises all Maintenance Technicians and the SAP Coordinator. In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for ensuring parts availability for planned maintenance activities; effectively manages preventive and predictive maintenance activities in order to increase uptime and avoid the waste associated with unexpected equipment failure.

Essential Functions

Environmental, Health & Safety

  • Accountable for safe maintenance activities. Continuously evaluates workplace for safety concerns and ensures behavioral safety initiatives are performed to goal levels. Will promote , teach and improve safety systems and procedures to employees and contractors such as LOTO, permits to work, safety audits
  • Accountable for safety management of employees, to include completion of safety audits and inspections, safety meetings, investigations of reported incidents, required job and safety training and continuous evaluation employee training needs.
  • Provides an accident-free worksite while maintaining status as the preferred supplier of quality products and services with a goals of yield, availability, and reliability
  • Assures good housekeeping practices following 5S systems, enforces plant rules and safety regulations

Leadership & Team Development

  • Directly supervises Maintenance Technicians (mechanical, electrical & multi-craft) and SAP Coordinator including, but not limited to approving timesheets, flex holiday and vacation requests, and managing department overtime needs
  • Holds Maintenance Technicians accountable and administers corrective/disciplinary procedures when employees are not in compliance with Company policies and procedures or CBA
  • Fosters Teamwork, collaboration, and trust in the work environment
  • Identifies development opportunities for the maintenance team in both technical and soft skills
  • Maintain, use and train Implements the Computerized Maintenance Management Systems

Plant & Reliability Support

  • Plan, schedule and monitor assigned installations, maintenance and repair activities, requisitioning parts and supplies; identify necessary resources and ensure availability through SAP work order system. Accurately track equipment history and parts usage through SAP
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to minimize plant downtime and maximize safety; this includes preventative and predictive activities
  • Work with maintenance personnel and the maintenance planner to ensure correct prioritization and timely completion of all work orders and sets out work on a weekly or day to day basis
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers of key process equipment
  • Maintain various department records, files, reports, and equipment ledgers required for the proper and efficient operation of plant equipment
  • Performs root cause analysis as well as implements sustainable countermeasures on losses related to maintenance
  • Track downtime across the plant related to electrical and mechanical events and develop action plans to improve performance
  • Improve reliability and reduce maintenance costs through statistical analysis to identify failure trends
  • Develop and maintain standard operating and maintenance procedures.
  • Demonstrate ability to provide creative value-added solutions; ability to think outside the box
  • Improve mechanical systems using innovative ideas and practices.
  • Work with engineering team(s) for more complicated maintenance and/or process improvements.

Duties/Responsibilities

EHS and 5S

  • Ensure safe work environment in plant.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting 2 & 3 Phase motors.
  • Recommend and/or maintain spare parts inventory of OEM parts and supplies.
  • Assemble and/or fit together cables to form complete units.
  • Calibrate equipment in accordance to their particular specifications.
  • Gather tools and supplies to be used at work site; keep tools in proper location when not in use.
  • Check operations of machines, lubricate equipment as specified, keep machines clean, diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments
  • Assist with moving machines within facilities that can be done with available equipment and manpower.
  • Build simple interior or exterior structures, including working from prints or drawings. Understanding of trade codes is preferred.
  • Possess a beginning knowledge of welding and cutting equipment, as well as proper operation of hand and power tools.
  • Be able to read mechanical schematics and perform basic mechanical repairs.
  • Have a working knowledge of CMMS system (SAP), being able to create and close Work Orders (WO), and identify open WO.
  • Aid and assist operations as needed.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of fluid power systems, including reading schematics.

Maintain forklift and manlift licenses.

Field Service Representative

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

What’s the job?

**The ideal candidate will reside in South Carolina or North Carolina**

The principal function of the Field Service Representative is to coordinate, perform and provide reports regarding on-site inspections. This position also requires technical knowledge of proper application methods for siding and roofing products. Problem solving skills/knowledge while on-site is a must. This position requires the ability to train siding installers and roofers concerning proper installation methods. This position requires the ability to stay calm in sensitive situations while performing inspections or while speaking to customers on the phone.

Inspect roofing, siding (and other products deemed necessary by CertainTeed management) at the request of CertainTeed Technical Services (Roofing), Warranty and Technical Services (Siding) and/or at the request of a plant Quality Manager. Initiate and file a report based on inspection observations. Must be able to diagnose a claimed issue while in the field performing inspections. This requires a high level of problem solving skills and building envelope technical expertise. Must be able to stay calm in sensitive situations in the performance of your inspections. Provide onsite training as needed for warranty related repairs and concerns directly to the contractor. Additional responsibilities that are assigned by the Technical Services Manager or the Field Service Supervisor must be completed in a timely manner. Also, to perform assigned administrative tasks such as reports and other assigned tasks within time restraints.

  • Perform on-site diagnostic inspections of roofing and siding systems, product claims and extended warranties. Operate a drone for inspection data collection.
  • Provide objective and detailed documentation in preparation of on-site inspection reports.
  • Complete and maintain the FAA required licensing for drone operation.
  • Coordinate site visits, provide assigned reports/tasks within a timely manner
  • Build a good working relationship with Roofers, TM’s and distributors.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

What do you bring?

  • The minimum level of formal education would be an Associate’s degree and/or 4 years of field inspection or roofing experience.
  • A 2-year degree is preferred and/or 5 years of roof inspection or roofing experience.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft office products such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and word.
  • Successful completion of FAA required licensing for drone operation.
  • Successful completion of HAAG and Working From Heights Safety Training.
  • Successful completion of driver training as required.
  • Successful completion of any assigned Boost (on-line) courses assigned by the Supervisor and/or Department Manager.
  • The person in this position must always maintain a calm and professional attitude in the representation CertainTeed. The Field Services Manager must have a detailed knowledge of the entire CertainTeed roofing and siding line of products, installation recommendations and processes involving both CertainTeed Roofing and Siding products.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to safely climb ladders and traverse uneven roof surfaces (with slopes up to 6/12) in many different climates. Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds. Must be able to perform job duties in all climates an on active construction sites. This position requires responsibilities for scheduling field inspections; therefore, this person must be self-motivated. This could involve multiple changes to a trip to accommodate additional claims. Flexibility and proficiency in scheduling is a must.
  • This position works from a remote location and has regular travel by car and plane.
