What's the job?

The Sr. Director, Major Capital Project role is a leadership position within the TIP NA organization that will direct a portfolio of Saint-Gobain major Capex projects (12 BUs, over 100 existing sites) in North America. This position will have oversight over budgets held by the project managers with a combined typical annual spend of $200M - $300M, with individual projects of $150-300M value, ensuring compliance with prescribed SG procedures managing team resources to ensure projects are within time and budget. The Sr. Director, Major Capital Projects will execute this through effective leadership of a cross-cultural and functional team of skilled Technical and Managerial experts and will set training plans for project managers inside TIP NA and the TIP NA commissioning team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, lead and develop the Project Managers Team, and Commissioning Manager, to include driving recruitment, leadership development, succession planning and overall team effectiveness for each area.
  • Oversee multiple projects: Maintaining holistic view of ongoing projects, ensuring that each one meets its objectives, adheres to schedule and budget and that all projects meet the Saint Gobain and Business Specific Standards in terms of Environmental, Health and Safety, Technical Roofing Standards and PEM across all SGNA product lines
  • Develop and implement safety systems for delivering major projects to achieve zero incidents in all major capital projects.
  • Develop relationships and manage key external resources such as designers, architects, construction managers, that can work across all SGNA business projects on both major and medium sized capital projects…
  • In close collaboration with the Regional financial department, Capex Purchasing Team and the VP TIP NA Engineering, manages the overall major projects budget, ensuring overruns are minimized.
  • Reports the progress of the Major Projects to the necessary SteerCos and provides updates of the NA scope to TIP Central

What do you bring?

  • Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience as a project manager on large/medium-sized engineering or construction projects required
  • 5+ years of experience in site management on multiple industrial/civil projects as a project manager is required
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams with direct and indirect reports
  • 50-60% Travel requirement within North America; Occasional international travel anticipated.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 36% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $265,880.00 to $425,000.00. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

  • Provides coaching to Production Supervisor I

  • Communicates & documents employee expectations and assess employee performance. Provides coaching and development opportunities and administers disciplinary action up to and including termination if needed.   • Salary: $22.72/hr

 

Job Duties

 

  • Working safely according to Agway Health and Safety Procedures;
  • Operate nail guns and saws in a responsible manner;
  • Operate the cardboard and plastic wrapping machines;
  • Build skids and crates;
  • Operate the forklift for the purpose of moving material throughout the facility;
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with tools such as: nail guns (mandatory), mitre saw, circular saw, measuring tape (Imperial Measures);
  • Experience in the construction, renovation or general carpentry work (preferred);
  • Experience with driving Counterbalance Forklift and/or Combi-Lift – inhouse training offered;
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg), walk, and stand for extended periods of time;
  • Ensure proper use of required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including the use of dual hearing protection in the woodshop;
  • Strong workmanship, show great efficiency and attention to quality and productivity;
  • Excellent communication skills;

Chaque participant est affecté à une usine de fabrication, pendant 18 mois, et se rend, tous les trimestres, dans d’autres sites de fabrication de Saint-Gobain, en Amérique du Nord. Les participants consacrent 80 % de leur temps aux projets du site local et 20 % aux activités du programme EOM. Bon nombre d’activités sont conçues pour accélérer le développement de votre carrière ainsi que votre croissance professionnelle future, notamment des formations virtuelles, données en classe, des activités d’apprentissage concrètes et pratiques ainsi qu’une vaste gamme d’occasions de réseautage. What’s the job?

The primary function of the Electronic Technician (ET) is to bridge the gap between the plants Industrial Electricians and Engineering staff by providing electrical/electronic troubleshooting support and the preventative/predictive maintenance of electrical & electronic equipment.

Essential functions:

  • Responsible for the troubleshooting of PLC’s related to safety, automation, and control systems
  • Conduct troubleshooting and calibration of thermocouples, RTD’s, level sensing devices, thickness detectors, consistency transmitters, load cells, servos and other electrical/electronic devices
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of VFD’s (Variable Frequency Drives)
  • Provide support to the Engineering department on new installations of electronic control equipment

  • Assist management in root-cause analysis on losses related to electrical/electronic failures
  • To closely work with the other Maintenance department crafts to support initiatives that improves equipment reliability

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

This position is responsible for operating various types of machinery and carrying out the daily tasks assigned by the supervisor.
