Job Duties

  • Work with CNC laser cutters and CNC press brakes to form metal parts.
  • Make setup changes on CNC press brakes including tooling and programs.
  • Read blueprints and drawings and take and read measurements to ensure parts are formed properly.
  • Inspect manufactured material and required parts to meet quality control standards.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance inspections and technical testing activities.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Trade School preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience working with laser cutters, press brakes and sheet metal rollers.
  • Must be able to bend and form metals with precision using technical drawings and CNC press brakes.
  • Ability to learn proper operation of press brakes and laser cutters.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to utilize skills in operating power and hand tools when necessary
  • Ability to work under limited supervision at times.

Production Supervisor

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Production Supervisor is responsible for all production activities for the assigned production lines. The incumbent will manage, monitor and direct the activities of all assigned production line crews to efficiently produce quality products.  Production Supervisors must be comfortable with the physical aspects of the plant's environment, i.e., working with various byproducts of raw materials used in the operation, and covering the full length of line operations numerous times throughout a shift. The incumbent must be dedicated to providing leadership and direction for the activities of assigned crews. This position will report to the Production Superintendent.

Responsibilities

  • Observe work and monitor to ensure production or processing standard performance. Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Interprets production specifications and determines the acceptability of production that is in process.
  • Responsible for the support of activities such as Maintenance and Engineering.
  • Ensures compliance with all safety procedures and establishes/promotes the maintenance of a safe, accident-free, and healthy work environment.
  • Must be able to counsel effectively; utilize progressive discipline, taking corrective actions when warranted for crewmembers.
  • Maintain communication with the Production Superintendent and Production Manager to assure production requirements are understood.
  • Prepare and lead meetings concerning productivity and safety, as well as daily Standard Work initiatives.
  • Eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error, equipment, and machine operations, which may lead to human injury and or property damage.
  • Report all EH&S incidents – Injuries/Recordables, Near Misses, First Aid, Environmental, and Property/Equipment Damage.
  • Ensure adherence to Waste Management and Recycling responsibilities.
  • Participate in Incident & Near Miss Investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
  • Participate in the development, understanding, and review of all position JSA and SOPs.
  • Conduct bi-weekly SMAT Audits.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.  To include:
  • Conducting Line Startups & Shutdowns
  • Overseeing Quality and R&D trials, and RPG training activities
  • Participate in daily meetings
  • Oversee coated waste area and production line consumables (i.e., barrels, limestone, raw materials)

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • AAS or BS Degree in Engineering preferred and/or 3 to 5 plus years' supervisory experience, as well as exposure in a manufacturing environment. This position requires an understanding of the production operation and its practices and procedures, as well as a high level of human relations skills to develop and motivate subordinates.
  • Must demonstrate core competencies of engagement in safe work behaviors, effective communications, listening, and organizational skills.
  • Must understand machine operations and be fully committed to accomplishing tasks in a safe manner. Must be computer literate and have knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, such as Six Sigma.

Job Summary:

Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4:00pm

The Material Shipper will play a critical role in maintaining the inventory and facilitating the shipping needs for all products and materials, including issuing materials to manufacturing (kitting components) for orders to be completed prior to shipping.

The Material Shipper will hold a strict adherence to Corporate and/or local policies, rules, and regulations as required. A commitment to carrying out the Company’s policies is required.

An employee in this position must focus on customers' expectations and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved results for themselves, customers, and other employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform inventory transactions in QAD.
  • Verify/reconcile all forms and paperwork as needed, including manufacturing forms, work order documentation, stock movement tickets, scrap tickets, identification tags, QA forms via electronic document storage, etc.
  • Schedule trucks for delivery and pick up of product as required for on-time expediting. Be proactive in assuring all shipments are on time. Communicate and assist in resolving any issues that affect shipment, whether current or in the future.
  • Perform other duties as directed or required, including packaging product and transporting material between buildings.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Store and pull materials using assigned protocols with correct equipment.
  • Communicate with all shifts the status of parts, equipment, and any other matters impacting products being shipped. Coordinate critical departmental activities warranting collaboration with other departments.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

Experience/Knowledge:

Must have a minimum of three years shipping experience

Must have a familiarity with Microsoft Windows/Office Software/Applications.

Must be a certified forklift driver.

Must be proficient with QAD, Eagle and UPS shipping programs.

Physical Demands:

Requires walking, primarily on a level surface through out the day. May need to traverse uneven terrain and climb stairs/steps periodically. May need to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and reach above shoulder heights and below the waist. Lifting as required with proper lifting techniques up to 30 pounds on occasion.

Working Conditions:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES   

  • Develops and maintains PLC/HMI/SCADA systems.
