  • Inspiring you to make an impact by bringing factories to the next level

Program Summary:

 

Our 18-month development program provides participants a full-time operational role, designed to improve their manufacturing skills and exposure to Saint-Gobain North America. Participants will be located at one singular manufacturing plant for 18 months and will be involved with quarterly travel to other Saint-Gobain manufacturing sites in North America. The time split between local site projects and EOM program activities is 80:20 respectively. Classroom-based E-learnings, hands-on action-based learning in operational environments as well as a plethora of networking opportunities, are just some of the activities in place designed to accelerate your career development and future career growth. These trainings and quarterly travel opportunities are a requirement for program completion and full participation should be given, except for extenuating circumstances. While start dates for EOM program participants may vary, program activities kickoff each year in July and end 18 months later in December of the following year. Upon program completion, EOM Engineers will work with our dedicated Human Resources team to find an operational role in one of our nearly 160 sites throughout North America. While a final placement role is not guaranteed, most EOM Engineer graduates are able to choose from multiple Saint-Gobain sites for final placement offers.

Job Responsibilities:

The role duties and responsibilities will vary depending on the location. Some examples of specific responsibilities are:

 

  • Providing engineering support for site process improvements.
  • Supporting capital expenditure projects/ new equipment installations.
  • Supporting safety/sustainability initiatives at the plant.
  • Implementing new automation processes at the site.
  • Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction and quality improvement.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in an engineering discipline (Industrial)
  • Internship experience in manufacturing or professional setting is a plus
  • Valid passport required for international travel to Canada

EXPOSURE

Every three months, spend approximately one week at a different plant in North America with the rest of your EOM Cohort—learning about our businesses, products, and operations and building strong camaraderie. Travel can take place at any manufacturing site in the United States or Canada. (Participants must have valid travel documentation, including a passport.)

Navigate through large and diverse business units alongside a dedicated mentor, who shares knowledge and advice essential to success and career development.

 

CHALLENGE

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 9% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $74,883 to $115,867. As the Director of Strategy, the individual will lead SGNA’s development of strategy, support the definition and execution of the Region’s strategic initiatives, and oversee the EPMO team in support of key business initiatives across the SGNA region, with responsibility for strategic initiatives from start to finish. Responsibilities

M&A and Integrations Support

  • Partner with Corporate Development and business leaders to evaluate, plan, and execute acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures that align with SGNA’s strategic priorities.
  • Lead integration planning and execution to ensure seamless transition, value capture, and cultural alignment post-transaction.

External Growth Strategy

  • Identify and assess new market opportunities, partnerships, and business models to accelerate regional growth and diversification.
  • Develop data-driven business cases and collaborate with global and regional leadership to execute expansion strategies.

Strategic Planning – LRP & Budget

  • Lead the development and consolidation of the SGNA Long-Range Plan and annual strategic priorities in alignment with corporate goals.

EPMO Leadership

What do you bring? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in Strategy, Consulting, or Private Equity, with demonstrated success leading complex strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.
  • 5+ years of experience enterprise-level project management, with the ability to design and lead governance frameworks, implement PMO or EPMO structures, and drive consistent execution discipline across multiple business units.

Hours are Monday-Friday, 9am - 6pm

The Customer Service position manages product order requests originating from customers, field sales teams, and other internal or external sources. It serves as the primary internal point of contact for regional customers and functions as a liaison between company operations, customers, and field sales personnel. Responsibilities include receiving, reviewing, processing, editing, expediting, and canceling orders as needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Process order cancellations.
  • Participate in the annual Physical Inventory as directed by supervisor.
  • Participate in self-development and training of others.

  • Maintain necessary records as required by SOP's and work instructions.

Maintenance Mechanic

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Chowchilla Manufacturing Facility operates 24/7. Successful candidates will possess the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, 12-hour shifts and rotate from day shift (7:30 am to 7:30 pm) to night shift (7:30 pm to 7:30 am) every 4 weeks. This schedule repeats throughout the year.

 

Maintenance Mechanics support the site activities related to equipment reliability, maintenance, and safety. Mechanics will troubleshoot machine breakdowns and make repairs safely to restore the machine to the proper operating condition. Mechanics must adhere to all company safety policies and JSAs while performing tasks and at all times on the premises.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Troubleshoots and repairs down or malfunctioning facilities and production equipment. Repairs or fabricates equipment.
  • Installing, modifying, adjusting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repair of all mobile & plant equipment.
  • Repair and troubleshoot all rotating and stationary equipment, such as motors and gearboxes.
  • Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic systems.
  • Follow standard operating procedures-PM schedules, maintenance work orders.
  • Disassemble production machinery and plant equipment to locate defective parts. Remove and replace defective parts such as bushings, bearings, shafts, gears and motors.
  • Recognize conditions that could lead to equipment breakdowns.
  • Monitor critical pieces of equipment, to detect and resolve issues utilizing WCM tools.
  • Maintain good housekeeping of maintenance area and production areas where maintenance work has taken place.
  • Able to work within the Safe Work Process and Permitting procedures in CertainTeed,LLC.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Machine Operator

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Are you passionate about producing amazing products that support the aviation industry. We’re seeking motivated Machine Operators to help us deliver quality products in a safe, collaborative environment.

This position is 12-hour shift nights that has a rotating shift pattern. The two-week period would be Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, then Thursday. The pattern would then start over again for the next two weeks.

The machine operator will be running equipment to produce ceramic ingots.

  • Ability to make in-process adjustments based on information (rate, distance, diameter.)
  • Must be able to operate lathe or spray dry machinery
  • Load material into the machine and set up to run. Then monitor completion.
  • Mainly work independently, but transfer from machine to machine for weights and chemistries.
  • Run the assigned machine per specified instructions for each ingot type.
  • Accurately and completely fill out paperwork as needed.
  • Perform pre-shift preparation and ensure that all surfaces that will contact product (piping/vessels) are sanitized and ready for operation.
  • Disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment as needed during wash-ups.
  • Clean and sanitize room areas as needed.
  • Read daily production schedule and process orders in the established sequence. Complete all paperwork in a timely manner and turn in to appropriate personnel, fill out work orders as needed.
  • Complete electronic and written production reporting

  • Minimum of three to five years of experience with mixing/blending/pressing operations, preferred.

  • Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.
  • Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, or materials onto machines.
  • Mount attachments or tools onto production equipment.
  • Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Monitor equipment operation to ensure proper functioning
  • Maintain machine tools in proper operational condition.
  • Exchange information with colleagues.
  • Clean and repair all tooling when it is ret
  • Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display placement of cuts.

Is this job for you?

EDUCATION 

High School and General Machinist, Tool and Die Maker OR Machine Tool Builder and Integrator Trade Certification 

AND / OR 

Completion of a Certificate of Apprenticeship and Certification of Qualification in the above mentioned trades. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Two years hands on experience in integrating and assembly of custom factory automation.
  • A working knowledge (written & verbal) of both English and Mathematics
  • Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job
  • Ability to perform all assigned tasks related to Tool & Die
  • Making in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards
  • Proficient in the use of all Toolroom equipment and related measuring equipment
