WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The employee must effectively direct, motivate, and coordinate packing activities of the vinyl siding plant to optimize packing with quality, safety, and cleanliness requirements.

Inspect and package all vinyl siding and accessories that may be produced within the manufactured area. Performs several different operations toward the completion of the manufactured process.

Shift: 12 hr. Night shift on 2-2-3 schedule (3 days one week, 4 days the next)

Hours: 8p - 8a ($1.10 shift differential)

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Sets up boxes for use in packaging and inspects siding and accessories for visual defects as material is extruded.
  • Notifies appropriate personnel of undesirable changes or quality problems as they occur.
  • Packs products into boxes in the specified quantity and arrangement.
  • Applies glue, seals boxes for proper adhesive setup, assures that finished package has neat appearance, stacks product on finished product rack.
  • Responsible for labeling of finished product including correct product carton number, acceptable verification, color and applicable codes.
  • Rejects defective products and has ability to measure such material against established standards and documented specifications.
  • Conducts all quality inspections at specified time intervals and documents such inspections on appropriate paperwork.
  • Must demonstrate good teamwork to work together with fellow employees.
  • Must demonstrate good housekeeping skills and safety practices to assure a safe and hazard free work environment.
  • Must be able to learn to operate and interface with automated equipment.

  • High school diploma or general education (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time – 12 hour shift.

Physical Requirements

Vision: Must be capable of reading letters and numbers, and have good color reception. Language: English Hearing: Normal Range of Motion: Full, some bending, lifting, and standing for a 12-hour period. Lifting Capacity: Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 pounds chest-high. Sitting/Standing: Standing for 12 hours daily, and moving up and down the production line. OSHA Requirements: Standard plant safety rules, safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes and Bump caps. Must have basic computer skills. Specific License Required Material Handler and Grinder. Some operating personnel are required to have a fork truck license when moving materials

NOTE:  This role is an ONSITE role at our corporate HQ located in Malvern, PA. 

The Purchasing Analyst will assist assigned business units in the development of tools and processes that support efficient collecting, cleanup, and processing of critical purchasing data. The analyst supports the strategic sourcing of products and services, ensuring optimal value for the company. This individual employs analytical tools to assess purchasing activities, monitors market conditions, and recommends strategies for cost savings and process improvements. This role will collaborate with other members of the analyst team to drive consistency of process and tools across the entirety of the purchasing organization. Position will also support continuous improvement initiatives as required.

Business Unit / Category Manager Support:

  • Participate in bid analysis, contract negotiations, and cost reduction programs.
  • Identify alternative sources of supply and evaluate the risks associated with single-source suppliers.
  • Support implementation of technology solutions, such as business intelligence and spend management tools, budgets, etc
  • Central coordination of pricing and contract management updates in the ERP systems for strategic or category specific suppliers
  • Support for key functions in the purchasing process including the vendor setup, maintenance and payment process
  • Monitor market developments, commodity prices, and supply chain disruptions, gather intelligence on emerging suppliers, technology trends, and regulatory changes, forecast pricing trends and recommend proactive purchasing strategies.

Process Improvement / Standardization:

  • Coordinate with continuous improvement / innovation manager to standardize administrative and reporting processes
  • Develop best practices in coordination with other members of the analyst team

A Manufacturing Process Engineer, is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Production Supervisor - Day Shift

What's the job?
The Production Supervisor is responsible for all production activities on the assigned production line. The Supervisor will manage and direct the activities of the production line and personnel to efficiently produce quality products. The Supervisor is held accountable to ensure production activities are carried out in compliance with all environmental, health, and safety requirements, policies, and procedures.

Develops the knowledge, skills, and abilities of their crew by acting as a coach and mentor. Decision making responsibilities for all functions of the plants during off-shift hours, such as production, maintenance, logistics, and quality. Placing priority on taking care of their employees and ensure that daily human resource issues are timely and consistent (payroll, recognition, accountability, etc.). Train and develop production crews to safely produce quality-roofing products in an efficient manner, monitoring production processes. Consistently and equitably, enforce plant rules, holding crew members accountable for all facets of their jobs, including housekeeping and 5s standards.

Work Schedule: This position is on the day shift from 7AM to 7PM on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule. Some weekend work is required as part of the rotating schedule.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervise and direct all Production activities for assigned lines to ensure that products are produced to meet or exceed all established process specifications and quality requirements.
  • Confer with departments heads to coordinate and establish work schedules, assignments and production requirements for operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Manage the crew through direct report to efficiently pass along important information.
  • Observe work and monitor to ensure production or processing standard performance.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and problem solving. Interprets production specifications and determines the acceptability of production that is in process.
  • Responsible for the support of activities such as Maintenance and Engineering.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of product manual and manufacture all products within specification.
  • Maintain communication with Production Manager to assure production requirements are understood.
  • Responsible for ensuring accuracy and consistency in production reporting in business -Enterprise systems.
  • Provides input and collaboration as part of the plant operations management team.
  • Advises and counsels production crew members effectively, utilize progressive discipline, taking corrective actions when warranted, and includes HR when higher levels of progressive discipline are to be used.
  • Works with HR to determine hiring needs, attends job fairs, makes decisions on who to hire for their respective team.
  • Report all EH&S incidents – Injuries/Recordables, Near Misses, First Aid, Environmental and Property/Equipment Damage.

Field Service Technician - Alabama

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Field Service Technician will be required to interface regularly with plant management, batch plant operators, concrete mixer truck drivers, and truck maintenance management and mechanics. Planning & Scheduling of Dispenser Service Work

  • The technician is self-dispatched. This requires an independent self-starter, self-directed person who possesses the ability to diagnose and determine requirements, plan and schedule daily, weekly and monthly events in accordance with the needs of the company and the customer.
  • In this role the candidate will interact directly with internal as well as external customers on a daily basis and must possess competencies such as organizational skills, planning skills, customer orientation, and project management skills.
  • The technician is responsible for managing their response time consistent with customer expectations or agreement.
  • Must be on continuous call to respond to customer requests for assistance; diagnoses and solves technical problems, providing on-site assistance to customer locations for proper application of our equipment/products.

Equipment Service Administration

  • The service administration component requires a candidate to be proficient with computers in order to execute activities that include but are not limited to equipment ordering, warehouse part re-stocking, expense reports, service management system compliance, preventative maintenance, calibration scheduling and compliance.
  • Actively control expenses and demonstrate stewardship of company resources.
  • Maintain real-time participation in CRM reporting systems.
  • Track time, parts, and incidental costs associated with each customer site and each customer truck.

Other Duties

  • Complete all safety training and online training modules; observe all necessary safety procedures, both those of GCP/Verifi and those of host companies.
  • Develop a solid understanding of concrete and the concrete industry, most importantly the operations of a concrete plant.
  • Recommend modifications and product changes to improve reliability of equipment; work with the R&D team providing input to new system designs or researching/testing solutions.

  • Support hiring and selection for hourly roles in partnership with HR; help build strong shift coverage and capability.
  • Approve timecards and attendance in UKG and ensure pay practices align with company policies.
