Full Time Position - $19.59/hr plus shift premium, progress to $20.75 after 300 hours of employment and to $23.05 after 600 hours of employment.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Packer is responsible for:

  • Performing routine cleaning, inspecting and minor maintenance on equipment.
  • Performing all duties in a safe and efficient manner following company safety standards.
  • Load the correct amount of bags into the strapping machine
  • Ensure all finished Go-pac’s are good quality
  • Place roll-up bags on the bag ring and seal filled bags onto vacuum plunger
  • Ensure the packing are kept neat and orderly
  • Clean duct-work, plenum, and oven areas during scheduled Preventative Maintenance days (P.M. Days)
  • All other duties require for the position

Why do we need you?

We need an experience machine operator to set up, adjust and operate machine shop tools, primarily manual lathes, optical comparators, and other QA inspection equipment to verify plated product profile accuracy according to print specifications. Apply general knowledge of machining methods and techniques. Use precision measuring instruments to verify conformity to print specifications.

This position requires an individual who is flexible, has a strong desire to learn, and is committed to being a team player. The applicant must be able to work within deadlines and production schedules to ensure a quality product is produced safely and delivered to the customer on-time, every time. A High School diploma or its equivalency is required. Technical school training, apprenticeship programs, or similar equivalents are a plus. Must possess skills and knowledge in the set-up, adjustment and operation of machine shop equipment. Ability to read and interpret work orders, comparator charts, drawings and specifications, as well as skill and knowledge necessary to understand basic GD&T and utilize shop math and measuring instruments is required. Knowledge of and adherence to the Quality Policy and Standard Operating Procedures will be a part of the daily routine. Must be motivated, focused, and clear thinking. Ability to work safely and utilize good housekeeping is mandatory.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a multidisciplinary design team (8–9 direct reports).

  • Oversee the creation and validation of detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients to address design and technical inquiries.

The Pro Retail Development Manager serves as a key strategic partner in the growth and development of Saint-Gobain Building Materials' presence within major home improvement retailers, with a dedicated focus on the PRO Retail Customer/Contractor segment. Elevating beyond a coordination role, this individual will lead strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening brand presence, growing market share, and delivering exceptional service to Pro customers in collaboration with National Account Managers, Retail Sales Leadership, and cross-functional Business Units.

Essential Functions:


• Lead the development and execution of strategies that drive engagement and sales growth among PRO customers across all major retail accounts.
• Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and sales data to identify new opportunities and shape go-to-market strategies for the retail PRO channel.
• Mentor and support Retail Pro Specialists and Retail Territory Reps in the execution of contractor-focused programs and initiatives.
• Collaborate with National Account Managers, Marketing, and Business Units to ensure a unified approach to contractor engagement across all brands and products.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert for PRO initiatives within key retailers, representing Saint-Gobain at national events, trade shows, and executive-level meetings.

Job Responsibilities

  • Make safety the top priority in all maintenance activities by following OSHA guidelines, company safety policies, and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on production equipment according to schedule.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues using schematics and technical manuals.
  • Repair or replace faulty parts, motors, sensors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and other equipment components.
  • Respond quickly to machinery breakdowns and production calls to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
  • Assist in equipment installations, upgrades, and relocations.

Quality Control Slitting Operator - MANUFACTURING – 1st Shift (Mon - Fri 6:30 am - 3:00 pm) - San Diego, CA

 

BASIC PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Efficiently performs set-up, running, and monitoring of any of the Slitting machines. Personnel will assist in the training and supervision of new operator trainees. Ensures that the machines are running on their shifts, are producing a quality product in an efficient manner. Assist in the packaging and moving of materials.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  1. Efficiently performs set-up, running, monitoring, and troubleshooting (as required) of all the slitting machines.
  2. Exercises strong working knowledge about the defects associated with Finished Goods materials and can make all required judgements as to a film’s quality and usability.
  3. Prepares slitting documents, core-tags, box labels and quality documents and training documents without immediate supervision.
  4. Assists in the packaging of materials when needed including making boxes, packaging material, stacking packaged material on pallets, and moving pallets of completed film.
  5. Assists in the training and supervision of less experienced operators.
  6. May occasionally performs lead operator responsibilities when lead operator is not available.
  7. Properly and thoroughly informs the relieving shift and department superiors about machine and production status, material processes, department or job needs and priorities, and problems of observations.
  8. Strictly follows standard operating procedures, set-up specifications, supervisor’s instructions, safety regulations and housekeeping policies. Follows procedures for any deviation to the above.
  9. Provides regular suggestions and feedback to Slitting supervisors concerning department problems, process improvements, machine operation and safety hazards.
  10. Ensures, indirectly, that all phases of the Slitting operation are performed in an efficient manner.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Informs Lead Operator of any parts or supplies needed and follow-up on request if items are not supplied in a timely manner to ensure that request was passed on.
  2. Performs finished pallet sign-off and rework activity (when directed).
  3. Suggests updates to procedures and policies on a regular basis.
  4. Communicates with lead, plant personnel and supervisors regarding production issues.
  5. Regularly monitors self-productivity and reports limitations to lead of department supervisor.
  6. Participates in continuous improvement and safety observations

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

  3. Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skill as it relates to slitting procedures and company processes.
