WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordination of all plannable maintenance work performed within the facility. The Planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters. They are also responsible for supervising the Storeroom Attendant and their duties to receive, ship, log, code and maintain incoming and outgoing all plant materials with the exception of raw materials. They will maintain materials in the warehouse in accordance with the plant policies.  

Essential Functions:
-Minimize downtime and interruptions to operations
- Develop PM;s and review PM program on a recurring basis for effectiveness
- Develop and publish weekly schedule based off capacity planning. Maintain down day schedules and lead down day planning meetings. 
- Apply technical and maintenance experience to analysis of each job
- Provide procedures for completing work and closing work orders by: maintaining accurate backlog, reporting completion, and providing a full day of work productivity for each tradesperson.
- Eliminate work delays, identify and correct work process 
-Identify inefficacies of the work process including materials, plant conditions, kittings, and resources
- Provide special tool and equipment requirements
- Provide an overall plan for maintenance supervisor on which to base his/her pre-thinking and pre-planning for day-to-day work and future work
- Establish job goals for the work force
- Planning and scheduling of shutdowns
- Storeroom - oversee activities ensuring adequate requisitions of parts
- Establish a maintenance presence & awareness on the production lines
- Occasionally inspect the quality of performed maintenance work.
- Ensure departmental safety permits are properly completed
 -Reduce total cost of maintenance while improving conditions of equipment and operating facilities
-Provide close and constant liaison between operations and maintenance
-Provide a full day of productive work for each tradesperson
- Create requisitions as needed; communicate purchase order numbers to vendors when received and obtain estimated delivery date
- Analyze, identify, and communicate information regarding open purchase orders utilizing out-of-network vendors; identifies, researches, and resolves problems relating to purchasing issues.
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Management of Maintenance staff time /attendance in timekeeping system
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Operator Trainee

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

We are seeking reliable, safety-focused Extrusion Operator Trainees to join our vinyl siding manufacturing team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals who are mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and interested in building a long-term career in extrusion operations. The ideal candidate is eager to learn and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment. Successful performance in this role prepares candidates for advancement to fully qualified Extrusion Operator positions.

Compensation: $22.00/hour (2nd shift $1.50 shift differential & 3rd shift $1.20 shift differential)

Shift: 1st & 2nd (4:00pm-12:00am) & 3rd (12:00am-8:00am)

Essential Functions:

  • Adhere to all plant/OSHA safety rules, including environmental and housekeeping requirements, properly dispose of trash, regularly sweep, and keep material, oil, and water off floors.
  • Adhere to all JSA’s pertaining to the extrusion line.
  • Perform safety inspections and report all unsafe conditions or near-miss events immediately.
  • Wear all PPE as required
  • Learn to operate the production line, learning all of the required points as noted on the Operator Trainee position:
  • Have a clear understanding of all Emergency stop buttons and Safety features on the equipment you are operating. All Emergency stop buttons should be functionally checked before lines are started. Notify maintenance and the supervisor of any problems.
  • Know and use proper Lockout procedures for extruders and all downstream equipment.
  • Arrive early enough to communicate with the previous shift about any problems on your line/s.
  • Using SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), you must learn to independently start up a line and put a Quality product in the box.
  • Responsible for knowing and understanding all Quality checks that must be performed before packaging the product. (Thickness, emboss depth, emboss location and repeat, locks, color, bow/warp, length, nail slots, oil can sample to Q/A for testing, etc.)
  • Check locks every half-hour.
  • Check the color every half-hour, front and back.
  • Regrind must be used whenever possible.
  • All extruders, floor drains, water baths, operator tables, and tops of downstream equipment must be kept clean at all times.
  • Assist the Material Handler to ensure concentrates used on or removed from lines are properly identified. Do not mix any color concentrates. Do not move any drums that you discover mixed; this will only cause further mixing.
  • Check to make sure all hopper low-level alarm systems are on. (Notify maintenance personnel and Supervisor if repairs are needed.)
  • Any problems with concentrates or regrind need to be discussed with the Operator, Lead Operator, and/or Supervisor.
  • The Operator in training and the Inspector/Packer are equally responsible for packing a quality product.
  • Assist Operators and Inspectors/Packers as needed
  • Perform all quality checks, report all defects, and ensure that the product meets all dimensional and cosmetic standards, and properly document.
  • Package product per specification – proper palletization of product, correctly coded and properly placed labels, insert slip sheets, and band product to pallet.
  • Train to clean the dies on all extrusion lines and make product changes.
  • When necessary, fill in for the operator and or packer in their absence.
  • Other duties as assigned by the shift Supervisor

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1-2 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Related manufacturing or trade school experience is a plus
  • Use of hand tools and measuring devices is helpful

Extruder Operator Helper Trainee

Why do we need you?

The Extruder Operator Helper Trainee is responsible for safely supporting production line efficiency by packaging finished products and assisting with extrusion operations in a face-paced vinyl siding facility.

The role requires maintaining an organized, 6S-compliant work area and accurately completing all required documentation to support product quality and traceability. Consistent attendance, reliability, and effective collaboration with team members are critical performance expectations.

During the training period, all tasks and processes will be performed under the direction of designated Helper Trainers and Supervisors. Once fully qualified, this position progresses to an Extruder Operator Helper “A” with the intention of future qualification as an Extruder Operator.

Shift: Day: Shift 6AM-6PM; Night Shift 6PM-6AM, 2-2-3 12-hour shift schedule. Will train on the day shift for 1-2 weeks prior to shift assignment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform all tasks in accordance with safety standards, procedures, and training. Conduct routine safety checks, report hazards or near misses immediately, and use required PPE. Maintain compliance with environmental and housekeeping standards, including proper waste disposal and keeping work areas clean and contamination-free.
  • Package products to specification under supervision, including box assembly, labeling, product configuration, sealing, palletizing, slip sheet placement, and banding. Verify load stability prior to transfer to warehouse.
  • Support production line operations by monitoring product quality, assisting with line checks, and managing materials (pigments, regrind, ASA, hoses, silos, bins). Operate auxiliary equipment, clear jams, manage scrap and regrind, assist with changeovers, and maintain adequate packaging supplies.
  • Maintain compliance with all quality standards by identifying, isolating, and reporting defects. Ensure products meet dimensional and visual standards while adhering to ISO 9001 and SPC procedures under supervision.

 

 

Is this job for you?

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is required.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • Technical School / Trade School / Skilled Trade education is preferred.

Senior Staff Technician - R&D, Manufacturing; Abrasives

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Sr. Staff Technician will provide technical support to the Research & Development, Product Management, and Manufacturing departments.

Key Accountabilities Include:

Abrasive product conversion, raw material and jumbo inventory management within R&D, conducting pilot trials for new product development, supporting process development initiatives, and monitoring current production to ensure alignment with the business objectives of the coated abrasives division.

Key Role Objectives/Impact:
• Lead the 5S effort and safety in the lab (R&D pilot area), and manage RnD inventory (jumbos, raw materials, pilot specs, etc)
• Manages the calibration effort required/critical for ISO certification
• Identify issues on R&D equipments and tools (ovens, slitter, die-cutter, Flexers, mixers etc) and provide maintenance on them;
• Support QA department for conversion for routine QC testing;
• Support R&D and product team for conversion for non-routine activities such as new product development and raw material qualification;
• Responsibility of supply ordering for the lab test materials etc. (SAP/Agora)
• Lead the pilot run (once or twice a week) and keep a good record of trial parameters to support R&D engineers for new product development activities.

The Tool Maker is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, maintenance, and repair of precision injection molds used in thermoplastic manufacturing. The position requires expertise in manual and CNC machining, mold assembly, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of injection molds. The Tool Maker works closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to diagnose tooling issues, implement mold improvements, and support new mold builds or modifications. Responsibilities include interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models, machining precision components, fitting and assembling mold systems, and verifying dimensional accuracy using precision measurement tools.

Success in this role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience with injection molding tooling systems including cores, cavities, slides, ejector systems, and cooling circuits.

Demand Analyst

WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

The Demand Analyst is accountable for developing an accurate demand forecast by improving the statistical forecast baseline, gathering and merging insights from Sales, and facilitating discussions to reach consensus on future demand.  This team member utilizes statistical forecasting models to create customer- and SKU-level Demand Plans for North America.  In this role, the Demand Analyst will report to the Senior SIOP Manager and support the SIOP team (Supply Planning, Inventory Management) and, as requested, cross-functional interactions with Sales and Marketing, Operations, R&D, and Purchasing teams.
 
Essential Duties:
  • Review historical sales trends and other demand drivers. Maintain the statistical models used for creating the statistical forecast at the customer+SKU level. Generate the statistical forecast from the statistical models at the customer+SKU level.
  • Calculate forecast error and net bias. Design and drive action plans to improve forecast accuracy.
  • Develop demand forecast reports at multiple levels of aggregation for differing time horizons for various audiences.
  • Ensure that sales, marketing, and product management provide forecast adjustments from market intelligence by the due date to complete the demand planning process.
  • Refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions. Publish the consensus demand forecast at multiple levels of aggregation for differing time horizons for various audiences.
  • Review the consensus demand plan's financial impact. Reconcile the SKU unit forecast with the financial forecast.
  • Gather necessary inputs for the Demand Review meetings. Support the Senior SIOP Manager in facilitating the Demand Review meetings and use a collaborative approach with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Finance to ensure current and accurate information is used to create the consensus demand plan.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Planners to balance supply and demand.
  • Drive continuous improvement actions in the demand planning process.
  • Identify key issues that require immediate escalation to Sales or Operations as required.
  • Participate in the fully integrated SIOP process in the Demand Analyst role.
  • Support all Chryso production and distribution facilities in the US and Canada.
  • Collaborate with Sales to communicate production needs to Planning, Operations, and Finance. Considered a point of contact with Sales.
