District Sales Manager will be responsible for building Chryso’s Specialty Concrete Chemicals (SCC) sales district into an integrated entity capable of delivering best-in-class commercial execution against the business’s financial and strategic priorities.

District Manager will lead a sales and field service personal in their territory. The position will provide support to Engineering programs at the Granville location, within the defined World Class Manufacturing (WCM) framework, in a manner consistent with the Principles of Conduct and Action of Saint-Gobain.

Responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of equipment used within the Granville site for manufacturing its lines of high value PVC & Urethane foams. The position ensures rapid pace of implementation without compromising the quality of standards.

The role leads the design and implementation of manufacturing processes and equipment for web processing using wet coating and lamination, web handling equipment and practices, extrusions and mixing technology. This support will include compliance with all ISO standards (9001, 14001, 18001 and pending IATF 16949) within the Granville Site.

Responsibility for operational excellence via efficient plant design and function. Ensures continuous improvement in process, cost, quality and production utilizing lean and Six Sigma tools. Supports various engineering projects and resolves processing issues.

Directs activities of the site’s process engineering professionals.

Will rely on experience and judgment to plan and support goals utilizing creativity as well as excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

Essential Functions:

Leadership of the Process Engineering Team. Personnel coaching and creation of working processes to maximize the success of the team.

Manages multiple projects aimed at process improvement, including capital investments, process optimizations, new product introduction, corrective actions, safety improvements, and waste reduction associated with production activities. Responsible for leading and developing project team members.

Ability to effectively define problems through data analysis, propose workable solutions to minimize defects and waste. The ability to define and work on data driven six sigma type projects. Determine statistical process capabilities and implement process control systems designed to improve consistency, product yield, quality, and throughput rates.

Must be able to identify opportunities for cost reduction, increased efficiency, seek and implement innovative methods to optimize process throughput and reduce costs.  Chart progress of opportunities within the methodology of the World Class Manufacturing plan, recommending countermeasures to overcome adverse variances. Provide follow up to such recommendations.

Working with R&D and manufacturing teams, management of new product industrialization and control procedures, as well as ensuring work is completed in the required timeframe and budget requirements.

Compiles technical data and other key process information to determine equipment/process specifications and establish baselines. Develop and align BOMs & Routings to be accurate and in a consistent format.

 

WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS?

REQUIRED:

  • BS degree in Engineering discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial).
  • 4+ years in management/supervisory role.
  • 8+ years in wet processing/web coating industry.
  • Project Management
  • Communication and Team Building skills. 

PREFERRED:

  • MS degree in related field (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial).
  • Implementation of SPC systems.
  • Experience in ISO Environment.

The incumbent is responsible for leading all aspects of site management and continuous improvement for the manufacturing location. Saint-Gobain Research (SGR) North America is seeking a driven, talented, and energetic entry-level researcher to join our Adhesives & Sealants R&D team. In this role, you will conduct hands-on laboratory experiments for key development programs, focusing on process and product development activities related to Adhesives & Sealants product line.

As an entry-level researcher, you will:

  • Design and conduct lab experiments, produce lab-scale samples, operate lab equipment, and analyze experimental outcomes under the direction of the R&D Director.
    • Conduct experiments to support both your primary projects and those led by others.
    • Utilize basic scientific or engineering principles and techniques to undertake specific tasks and projects with limited scope.
  • Take initiative in managing and documenting projects effectively with supervision to capture project progress and results in presentations and technical reports

Essential Functions

  • Tasks clearly defined by the manager in nature and scope, including areas of product development/improvement, lab and production processes, and new knowledge research including analytical and characterization tools.
  • Develop and present presentations for executive review. Submit technical reports on project progress and results.
  • Carry several small projects or studies through to successful completion with little assistance from the supervisor. Projects involve the extension of present or new technology in one or more areas, involving improvement and/or development of processes and testing techniques.
  • Take a leading role in aspects of lab management: safety, equipment maintenance, 5S, lab audit preparation and action follow-up, lab postings, regular equipment checks etc.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Material Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other related disciplines.

This individual will lead the annual process, developing the strategic marketing plan, including brand growth strategy, target markets, solution positioning, and marketing channel strategy.

Lead the creation of the marketing plan that supports the strategy, including alignment to MWBs and resources, project planning and estimation, resourcing plan, budget, and backlog creation. This individual will lead planning in collaboration with our business units and corporate marketing team, ensuring cross-functional alignment on goals, shared prioritization of high impact activities, and aligned resources to deliver.   • Budget Management. Job Summary
QA Inspectors compare in process and finished goods to established specifications; reports variance to Coordinator.

Essential Functions:

  • Compare first piece produced on equipment set-up for conformance to specification.
  • Write detailed inspection report in compliance with GMP standard on parts, products and processes that fail inspection; investigates scope of the failure and forward report to Coordinator for disposition.
  • Use working knowledge of inspection techniques to determine most accurate method of comparing measurements of complex parts to blueprint and specification.
  • Compare measurements, form, fit, function and value judgments of simple and complex parts to blueprint, specifications and general workmanship standards using documents, experience and knowledge of inspection techniques.
  • Utilize statistical process control where applicable.
  • Assist in orientation of new technicians and inspection processes, as necessary.
  • Assist in ensuring proper calibration of equipment and measuring instruments.

  • Maintain proper levelof supplies (office and inspection) to prevent depletion This includes reordering task
