We have an immediate need for a Process Engineer II.
 
The primary purpose of this role is to support production through primary ownership of manufacturing processes and continuous improvement activities.
 
This position is responsible for stable, capable, and compliant manufacturing processes by providing day-to-day production support and driving continuous improvement.  The successful candidate will:
 
Provide day-to-day engineering support to production through structured troubleshooting, investigations, and root cause analysis;
Own and continuously improve assigned manufacturing processes to ensure robust performance, safety, quality, and compliance in a continuous and complex manufacturing environment;
Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve yield, throughput, equipment utilization, and cost using WCM methodology; 
Develop, execute, and maintain process validation and revalidation activities in collaboration with Quality; 
Lead and support quality investigations related to process non-conformances; define and implement corrective and preventive actions;
Collect, analyze, and interpret critical process and equipment data to support investigations, continuous improvement activities, and decision making;
Develop and maintain process flow diagrams, manufacturing, documentation, and SOPs to support consistent and repeatable production.
 
This position will also be involved in project management, which will involve supporting and leading execution of local engineering and capital projects, including equipment upgrades, replacements, and process improvements.
 
Training and support for production, technicians, and maintenance teams will be expected.
 
 
 
 

IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

The successful individual must have experience in a plastics manufacturing environment, as well as the ability to provide leadership and innovation at all organizational levels, be adaptable, and customer and supplier focused.

Prior experience in team building and motivational skills are preferred.

BS in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, electrical preferred) is required. 

MS degree is preferred.

3+ years' experience in Project Management is required.

Saint-Gobain aims to deliver a comprehensive Total Rewards package to support our employees’ wellbeing and help improve daily life for themselves and their families. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer prospective candidates and provide the national pay range for this position which is $81,500 to $126,500 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
 
In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 10% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $89,650 to $139,150. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.

Distribution Center Manager

The Distribution Center (DC) Manager leads a high‑volume 24/7 operation supporting North American and Export customers, overseeing ~130 employees across shipping, receiving, inventory, and value‑-added operations. The role ensures same‑day execution and shipment within 24 hours while maintaining strong EHS, accuracy, and productivity. As site leader, the DC Manager drives performance, culture, and continuous improvement through Lean practices, optimized labor and equipment utilization, and cross‑functional partnership with Supply Chain, Customer Service, Transportation, Safety, HR, IT, and Finance.
 
Your day-to-day:

  • Own site safety performance; establish a culture where safety is the priority in every task  and decision.
  • Lead all DC operations to achieve 24-hour shipment expectations from order receipt while meeting defined cutoffs and carrier schedules.
  • Ensure consistently high order accuracy through process control, standard work, and quality checks.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and routines: daily start-up meetings, weekly KPI reviews, quarterly Town-Hall meetings and action tracking. Translate KPI results into actionable plans with owners, due dates, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build and sustain a positive and high-performance culture emphasizing teamwork, engagement, recognition, and results.
  • Manage site labor performance, overtime, and expense controls to achieve budget targets while meeting service requirements.
  • Build labor plans aligned to volume forecasts; adjust staffing plans to maintain performance during demand variability.
  • Implement and sustain standard work, visual management, daily management systems, and problem-solving routines.

Required
· Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
· Lean Leader, Green Belt, Black Belt, Kaizen facilitation.
· 7+ Years Progressive leadership experience in distribution, warehousing, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain operations with strong judgment and consistent decision-making under pressure. Familiarity with MHE safety requirements and best practices.
· 5+ Years In a site-level operations leadership role with full accountability for safety, service, quality, and productivity. Experienced with inventory control practices, root cause analysis for variances, work scheduling, and lean practices in a distribution center environment.
· 3+ Years Demonstrated experience leading a facility with multi-shift operations, significant headcount (100+), and high transaction volume. With exposure to profit and loss, cost accounting, capital management, budgeting, and other financial concepts routinely used in planning and measuring distribution center performance.
Preferred
· MBA or technical equivalent.
· Certified in Six Sigma (Yellow, Green or Black Belt)
· International experience and multi-lingual fluency is desirable.

  • Provide machine repair and troubleshooting advice to customers using excellent telephone skills and in-depth knowledge of Machine Works’ equipment.
  • Properly escalates the most complex issues to appropriate personnel for resolution, and tracks issues through to completion, ensuring necessary follow-through on all open items.
  • Respond to customer calls, emails, and faxes pertaining to quotes, RMAs, and follow-up on orders.
  • Liaison among customers, internal operations, and field sales personnel, regarding information related to customer orders and inquiries.Acknowledge orders through the e-commerce website, following the same process as an order entry
Other Duties & Responsibilities May Include:
  • Complete other assigned tasks as assigned.

Ability to work an average of 40 hours per week, speak clearly so others understand, vision acuity for this position include close vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Ability to lift a 70 to 90 pound bundle of shingles without assistance. The Production Supervisor ensures that employees safely produce the highest quality products, following the standards of operation as set forth by SGPPL, Clearwater. Leads personnel towards World Class Manufacturing Standards and is responsible for driving team to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators, OSHA, ISO and FDA requirements as well as abide by Saint-Gobain’s Principles of Conduct and Action, Human Resources policies, environmental standards and safety policies. Provides shift supervision and coordination of multiple activities throughout all work centers to ensure safety, quality, performance/delivery and cost to meet customer’s requirements objectives are achieved. Manages schedule adherence and %OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) by department. Facilitates problem solving activities to help troubleshoot problems on the production floor. Coach, develop and mentor direct reports, which includes operators and leads.
 
 
 
Essential Functions:
Supervise daily activities of subordinates on respective shifts. In addition, develop personal/departmental goals and objectives and critique previous performance with each employee through an annual review. Supervises departmental activities and coordinate with other departments to meet facility/corporate objectives.
 
Partner with engineering, planning, quality and operators to drive continuous improvement within the scope of WCM, quality, cost, health, safety and/or environmental objectives to include leading CAPA reports or supporting complaint investigations.
 
Understands environmental policies and significant environmental impacts of job activities in accordance with ISO 14001.
 
Recommends, initiates and implements projects to continuously improve production equipment, processes and work environment to ensure quality levels in an ISO certified facility.
 
Assist subordinates in troubleshooting and problem solving.
 
Provide back-up support as on operator during high periods of absenteeism.
 
Communicate with the other shifts, if applicable, the status of parts, equipment and any other matter that might have an impact on the job.
 
Ensure operators have completed all required training including OJT and SOP readings.
Fully utilize and interface with the local IT systems to ensure complete data input and output on a daily basis and identify and resolve any variance issues.
 
Model 5S behaviors and work habits in daily standard of work.
 
Observe and support all safety rules and regulations.
 
Investigate and report any incidents, accidents and unsafe conditions to management.
 
Correctly fill out all time reporting forms and other related paperwork including manufacturing forms, work order documentation, stock movement tickets, scrap tickets, identification tags, approving ECOs, etc.

Esential Functions

  • Document and follow record retention policy for expired/damaged products.
  • Adjust inventory counts to remove expired/damaged product from inventory.
  • Ensure expiration date on product is correct.
  • Order supplies for repackaging and labelling items that may have been damaged.
  • Repackage, relabel, and restock product in bin locations throughout the warehouse.
  • Accurately and safely move, pick and pack products using voice pick and/or radio frequency equipment to assist photography department.
  • Completing equipment inspections daily and documenting findings on touch-screen located on equipment.
  • Maintaining the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion ensuring that product can be efficiently picked.
  • Operates Jungheinrich material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner following the prescribed work methods.
  • Performs gratis consolidation, empty bin checks and assists with completion of special projects.
